This place is an embarrassment. I called ahead to make a reservation for my birthday dinner. We arrived and the host told me that they didn’t have any reservation under my name. I showed her my call history - no apology, no nothing. She told me it would be a 20 minute wait. Nobody offered us a drink while we waited, which should have been offered since it was completely their fault. About 40 minutes later, we were seated. The whole dinner took about three hours. Drinks took forever to come and I had to ask where the rest of the appetizers were after waiting even more. The place is busy and they don’t know how to manage it between take out and dine in. It’s quite a shame. I wanted to try somewhere new for my birthday but I left very disappointed. Nobody ever came to apologize, no free round, no nothing. Go across the street to Haiku and you’ll have a much nicer experience.
Love this place! They have a very good happy hour and my husband and I order take out all the time. Great sushi and good drinks.
Kumo has been my go to for Sushi and has never disappointed. Always fresh and tasty. The staff, overall atmosphere is always fun and accommodating. Happy Hour specials are great!
Make sure to get a friendly waiter... the waiter with the short light brown hair was not friendly. I'm very observant and noticed she was not a good server, she did not come to our table or her other tables to check up not even once... and when asked about certain items on the menu she was obnoxious about it... I've been coming here for years and never encountered this type of service...
Always great service and hospitality. I make it a point to sit at the bar. The level of service doesn’t vary whether a seated patron or bar patron. Great local dining. Drinks are mixed to satisfaction. Take advantage of the specials, which are sure to wet the appetite.
I loved the food!! I liked that the sushi rolls were not too huge and more bite sized! The shrimp tempura avocado roll was a bit bigger, but soooo good and worth it! Seaweed salad was also a good portion. Went for the 3 roll special just after 3pm and liked that their lunch special goes until 3:30! Went last Thursday and planning again soon! 👍🍣
